You know what today is? It’s my birthday! OMG! I used to be so excited for this when I was a kid. Who am I kidding? It’s still exciting for me. Today, I turn 32. Dang, that looks like an adult’s age. It’s different when you see it typed out. That’s a man’s age. I should change the subject fast so I don’t dwell too much.
For the last prompt I asked, “What do you order at Subway?”
I will use Allan’s answer:
“i actually avoid subway because i always preferred jommy johns… but there are no jimmy johns in california, so i make my own sandwiches… either pb&j or salami, mustard and Kraft american singles (just one plastic wrapped slice, despite the plural us of single).
but subway does have baked lays. mmm, baked lays.”
I want to give a shout out to Sarah for her answer. I will find it difficult to look at the Veggie Delite the same ever again. Allan provided an edit to his typo, “jommy john’s.” However, it’s just to funny to not point out again. Jommy is hungry. Jommy wants food freaky fast. Just the one wrong letter changes the sound of the place completely.
Let’s see how we can change the sound/feeling of restaurants just by changing one letter.
Taco Bell——–Taco Hell. See? It’s fun already. You enter Taco Bell, and you leave feeling Taco Hell
Burger King—– Burger Kind, as in it’s a burger, kind of.
Applebee’s——Applebeds. This is where they go to sleep, before they become cider.
Raby Tuesday——I assume raby is the singular form of rabies. Raby Tuesday is the day Darrell looked back on in horror, before he was put down.
Papa John’s——Papa Joins. I assume this is Papa Joins AA because he found himself passed out partway in the mailbox.
T.G.I.Friday——O.G.I. Friday. Oh, Gary’s In Friday. Nobody wants to work with Gary
Dairy Queen——Hairy Queen. You don’t want to know what is in your blizzard.
Long John Silvers——Long John Solvers. It’s a crack team of pirate detectives. First on the list, “what addictive cousin to crack is in the hush puppies?”
Krispy Kreme——Krispy Krome. They sell chrome doughnut rims, enhancing both street cred and appetite.
Steak n Shake——Speak n Shake. Reminds me of giving speeches in junior high
Next prompt: What is the best birthday present you’ve ever received?
